My biography
I was born in Evansville, Indiana, March 18, 1955, the 118th birthday of President Grover Cleveland. My mom, Betty Sue Hanson, instilled in me a love of history by reading to me about the presidents, the Revolution and the Civil War while other moms were reading nursery rhymes to their children. To this day I find it hard to read fictional accounts.
She also took me to Sunday school, for which I am literally eternally grateful.
I moved to Texas, went to college and got interested in journalism. After a brief stint in Alabama doing community brochures for various cities in the Southeast, I moved to California where I served as the editor of two denominational publications. I got masters degrees in journalism from Cal State Fullerton and Biblical Studies from Azusa Pacific University. In 2006 we moved to Greenville, South Carolina.
I have a gorgeous wife, Tina, and two wonderful children, Elizabeth, and Tom Jr., who is autistic, which explains my concern for autism as seen on my home page.
My goal in this web site is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, promote Christian values and help return our country to its Christian roots.

God has specific assignments for your life. But how do you discover them? How will you hear His voice? How will you know His will for your life? Read this book and find out. The whole Christian church needs to read this.
